Hi Candace,

Yeah, it looks like the weekend rest helped the lower court judge to come around. But, this thing is far from over.

I want these polygamist communities to be treated with compassion, and I want them to open up so that folks living therein are free to abandon the fundamentalist lifestyle if they so choose.

I also want all real abuse to stop and the perpetrators prosecuted. But, I worry that the way Texas CPS has handled this may backfire. The communities, out of fear, may now withdraw further into themselves, where unrighteous dominion can continue unchecked.

I am so disappointed in the initial response by Texas, but I must also add that I am very proud of the way the Appellate and Supreme Courts have conducted themselves. At last, Texas justice!
